chords of sequence in minor
- not entirely practical
- this is due to resolution issues
- the major-minor chord built off of scale degree 1 cannot be used for resolution
- the half diminished chord built off of scale degree 2 resolves to the dominant triad
- augmented minor chord built off of scale degree 3
- is used but the 5th needs to be led up a tone
- hardly though
- minor seventh chord built off of scale degree 4
- used often and lead to the 7th diminished chord
- this avoids steps of augmented 2nd
- avoids the doubling of leading tones
- used often and lead to the 7th diminished chord
- major seventh chord built off of scale degree 6
- best resolved into the seventh chord built off of degree 2
- fully diminished 7th chord built off of 7th scale degree is not dealt with in sequences
- therefore we are only able to make fragments of sequences in minor
- using: 2,4,5,6,7
