COMPOSER’S NOTES

A Community Prayer is a short piece set to the text of the community prayer of Cathedral Catholic High School. The text is supplemented by the opening of the penitential act which serves as a mood setter for the duration of the piece. The piece is intentionally simple and meditative, so approaching it as a meditative sonic experience allows for the best aural perception.
