Going to Papua meant that I would be engaging with people that two the Western world, seem to have nothing. What I would learn in my short time there would show me that the people of Papua have much more than we in the West.

Music

Music is the reason that brought me to Papua. My original goal was entirely to just teach. But through that same music that I planned to bring. I learned so much more than just going to teach and inspire.

Community

The Institute of the Incarnate Word promotes community. While I was in Papua, there would be five novices of the order that I would live and work with. Each of them demonstrated to be the importance of a loving community.

Hope

The people of Papua, in all circumstances, offer hope. They hope for the best of each day, and they hope for all the dreams of tomorrow. They love deeply, care deeply, and give deeply.
