COMPOSER’S NOTES

The piece is made as an etude for the contemporary classical vocalist to strengthen their relationship with singing in the overtone series and rhythmic articulation. Navigating through most all the partials of the accessible overtone series, the exercise also includes aleatoric improvisation over fundamental tones and inhalation singing. Staging is also included by the composer to aid in the presence of a singer’s performance.
